BREAKING

  • Deutsche Bank subsidiary DWS plans to establish a new company called AllUnity together with Flow Traders and Galaxy, which is to issue a euro stablecoin. AllUnity is to be led by Alexander Höptner, a member of the 21 Oaks Capital advisory board, as CEO.

MORE

  • Société Generale issues a first digital green bond on the public Ethereum blockchain with increased transparency and traceability of ESG data.
  • A recently published report by ETF research firm ETFGI showed that crypto ETFs and ETPs listed worldwide recorded net inflows of $1.6 billion since the start of the year, with $1.31 billion added in November alone. These investment volumes are twice as high as the $750 million in net inflows into the same products in 2022.
  • China's Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) e-CNY transactions exceeded 1.8 billion yuan ($250 billion) this year.
  • Solana releases a Web3 phone with an integrated hardware wallet. It sells out quickly, trades at $5,000 on the secondary market, and its native token $SOL rises to become the fourth-largest cryptocurrency after a price increase of over 1000% YoY.
  • The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has published an Accounting Standards Update (ASU) intended to improve the accounting and disclosure of certain digital assets.
  • According to BitMEX Research, inflows into the Bitcoin ETF will overshadow all 163 crypto ETPs and reach $50.6 billion in assets under management.

SPEAKERS’ CORNER

  • December showed the typical year-end pattern and things quieted down somewhat.
  • Nevertheless, ahead of a possible Bitcoin spot ETF approval in the US, (semi-)professional investors still invested in our funds in December.
  • On our own behalf, we would like to point out once again that our Web3 special AIF "21 Oaks Blockchain Horizon" has achieved an absolute increase in value of approximately 50% since its launch in April 2023. A result with which we as a team are very satisfied in this difficult macro environment.
  • We would like to take this opportunity to wish our readers a good start to the new year. Stay healthy — see you soon…
